Job Description:

• Researches, organizes, writes, edits, and produces technical data for major publication projects.
• Organizes material and writes a descriptive copy according to standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
• Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
• Provides recommendations to continuously improve program results and processes.
• May participate in the establishment of style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations.
• May provide work leadership for other employees.

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in crafting technically complex communications products for a variety of audiences
• Ability to analyze and edit large amounts of new information to successfully complete high-volume documentation projects
• Ability to set proprieties and undertake complex tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong product-oriented focus – willing to dive deep to understand the product
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• A creative, resourceful, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and be flexible
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Attention to detail

The following skills will be advantageous:

• Proficiency at using the Dita standard
• Thorough knowledge on authoring/publishing tools
• Awareness of technical communication trends
• Experience with usability and user experience practices
• Lean/Six Sigma expertise
• Proven public speaking track record
