2nd Shift Woodworker

A Woodworker performs a wide variety of fabrication tasks centered around building cabinetry.

Responsibilities

Performs basic wood working or rough carpentry work on small or large boats; Frequently involves use of staples and staple guns in assembly of rough wood structures to be covered with other materials (fiberglass, upholstery); Includes mill assembly and lamination woodworking positions; Must be willing to learn all aspects of woodshop including running CNC routers, cabinet building, and assembly builds

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Experience in basic or rough carpentry; Ability to read and understand production schedule and blueprints; Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if needed; Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual; Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal; Working knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system; Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately; Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies; Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.; Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation
