Accounting Manager

About the Role

Join the finance team at a healthtech company serving consumers through online healthcare services and product delivery. You will oversee core accounting operations and strengthen financial controls, reporting, and processes as the business grows.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $90,000 to $110,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based in San Leandro, California, United States.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.; Oversee revenue recognition, inventory, intercompany accounting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and fixed assets.; Review financial statements and internal reporting packages.; Analyze balance sheet and profit and loss fluctuations, translating results into useful business insights.; Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.; Partner with Supply Chain on inventory controls, reporting, forecasting, cycle counts, and inventory turns.; Develop accounting policies, procedures, and documentation, and improve processes through automation.; Manage and develop staff accountants, support external audits, and prepare for public reporting requirements.; Collaborate across teams to improve accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting, and 2 to 3 years in an accounting manager role.; Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting knowledge, CPA certification is preferred.; Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.; Experience managing complex accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.; Experience analyzing balance sheet and profit and loss fluctuations and communicating business insights.; Background in eCommerce, healthcare, telemedicine, or an inventory-based business is preferred.; Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and people-management skills.
