Adjunct Instructor in Project Management in Health Informatics

Brandeis University’s Online Health Informatics Program is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for RHIN 111 Project Management in Health Informatics for the Fall-2 2026 session. This 3-credit asynchronous online course is an 8-week requirement for the Master of Science in Health Informatics. This course will prepare students for management of complex health informatics projects which requires the application of appropriate tools and techniques. Concepts of project management such as life cycles, planning, design, cost, execution, and implementation, will be reviewed. Requirements

Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in health IT project management; Certification in project management methodology such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), etc.; Professional experience in project management roles within healthcare or technology, with a focus on digital health implementation that includes significant project leadership; Strong knowledge of emerging technologies such as electronic health records (EHRs), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), etc.; At least 1 year of teaching or training experience (preferably online/asynchronous); Experience with online instruction; Excellent communication and teaching skills in an online learning environment.

Nice to have

Prior online teaching experience at the graduate level; Knowledge of global learner personas and culturally responsive pedagogy; Familiarity with Moodle LMS and digital authoring tools (e.g., H5P)
