Ambulatory Clinic RN - Family Medicine

The registered nurse utilized the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and team members; and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Exhibits the core values of the organization, compassion, integrity and unity. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care; Promotes and restores patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families; Consistently meets work schedule; Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process; Maintains a safe environment for patients; Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician's offices and other institutions; Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluates patient's needs, and triages patient care; Provides patient/family education using resources available; Acts as liaison between patient, significant others and health team members; Identifies area for professional growth; Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team; Performs the professional, clinical and technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Requirements

Associate Degree Nursing; High School Graduate; Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing OR Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing; CPR/AED/BLS - Other BLS; Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.
