APP - ICU/Critical Care - Concord

The Atrium Health Cabarrus Critical Care Team is actively recruiting an experienced, part-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The APP will be expected to manage medical, surgical, cardiac, and cardiothoracic surgery ICU patients and attend and contribute to group/practice meetings, development of policies and procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage medical, surgical, cardiac, and cardiothoracic surgery ICU patients; Attend and contribute to group/practice meetings, development of policies and procedures, and quality improvement initiatives; Provide 100% inpatient, adult medicine; Provide 24/7 coverage with shift-based model to a 54-bed ICU; Work 13-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; Rotate shifts equally among staff

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program; License to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina; Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required; BLS/ACLS for healthcare provider from AHA required; Nurse practitioners are required to have a Master's Degree or Post Master's Certificate in Acute Care; NP/PA or RN experience in ICU required; Knowledgeable about the following procedures or willing to learn: Central Line Placement, Arterial Line Placement, and Intubation

Nice to have

Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred; Current or pending CAQ certification preferred
