APRN - Inpatient - Cardiac Cath Lab - FT - Days - MHW

Functions as a health care provider in an inpatient setting providing evidence based care, including but not limited to, diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care under the general supervision of a physician. Competencies: Accountability, Customer Service, Develop and Implement Plan of Care, Patient and Family Centered Care, Patient Safety - Nursing, Problem Solving, Responding to Change, Standards of Behavior. Complexity of work requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

Instructs and counsels patients with respect to health promotion and/or health maintenance; Practices within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative healthcare management by performing a variety of medical or procedural tasks; Organizes and presents historical and physical data on daily rounds, together with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team; Provides follow-up and health maintenance care to patients based upon accepted standards of care and best practice; Maintains complete and accurate records of contacts with patients whether in person, virtually or by telephone; Obtains complete medical history from patients and performs comprehensive and focused physical examinations appropriate for patient population; Executes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated

Requirements

Masters: Nurse Practitioner (Required); Advanced Practicing Registered Nurse (APRN) - State of Florida (FL); BLS certification (American Heart Association, e-card or non-e-card, or Red Cross); National NP certification for Pediatrics/Adult area of practice; Privileging and credentialing required; Exempt from Master's Degree if graduated prior to 1998
