APRN - Inpatient & Outpatient - Total Heart Center - FT - Days - MRH

Functions as a health care provider in an inpatient and outpatient setting providing evidence based care, including but not limited to, diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care under the general supervision of a physician. Competencies: Accountability, Customer Service, Develop and Implement Plan of Care, Patient and Family Centered Care, Patient Safety - Nursing, Problem Solving, Responding to Change, Standards of Behavior.

Responsibilities

Execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated; Instruct and counsel patients on health promotion and/or health maintenance; Practice within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative healthcare management; Organize and present historical and physical data on daily rounds, with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team; Provide follow-up and health maintenance care based upon accepted standards of care and best practice; Maintain complete and accurate records of patient contacts whether in person, virtually or by telephone; Obtain complete medical history from patients and perform comprehensive and focused physical examinations

Requirements

Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner (required); Advanced Practicing Registered Nurse (APRN) - State of Florida; BLS certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent, as listed in the offer); National NP certification for the Pediatrics/Adult area of practice; Privileging and credentialing required; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a stressful environment; critical thinking and decisive judgment
