Assistant English Language Teacher

m2r Education are currently recruiting for Assistant English Language Teacher (ALT) positions for elementary, junior and senior high schools across Japan. Year-round recruitment is available for two intake periods: Spring (arrival in March to June) and Fall (arrival in August to December).

Responsibilities

Help students improve their English communication skills through engaging and interactive lessons; Share your culture and experiences; Deliver interactive English lessons; Support students in developing confidence in spoken English; Collaborate with Japanese Teachers of English (JTEs); Contribute to an international learning environment

Requirements

Be a native-level English speaker with at least 12 years of formal education conducted in English; Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from an accredited university; Be able to fulfil the contract before the retirement age of 60; Have no visible tattoos at work or in the community (tattoos on the neck, hands, or within 5cm of the wrist are not permitted, others must be fully covered); Be in good health sufficient to meet the demands of living and working in Japan; Be prepared to relocate primarily as an individual (bringing dependents or pets upon initial arrival is generally not recommended or supported)
