Assistant Salon Manager

Responsibilities

Manage all salon operations and provide leadership and tools for success; help staff increase their clientele and the business; focus on profitability of the salon and teach stylists the ins and outs of business; set the example and provide all hair care services offered by Supercuts, ensuring the highest quality for each guest; act as coach and mentor to bring out the best in salon employees, ensuring a positive work environment; hire, recruit, train, and handle conflicts and client complaints with ease and professionalism

Requirements

Lead by example; customer service at core; resolve challenges with professionalism; bring out the best in others by training and developing team, creating positive work environment, providing guidance on business and technical competency matters, and keeping the salon’s bottom line in mind; current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations; able and willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; tech savvy and able to perform administrative tasks; able to read, write, and do basic math; available to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel; good eyesight to observe a guest’s hair, including close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus; comfortable with standing, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs; comfortable with fragrances and chemicals used in treatments
