Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom; Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed especially during peak retail business hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members are current on training; Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management; Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases handled efficiently; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued accurately; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker/merchandising tasks completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies, work schedules, and clocking in/out; Perform all store opening/closing duties including day end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, and securing building; Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
