Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) - Budget Truck - FT

In this role, your work helps ensure trucks are safe, reliable, and available—directly supporting customer businesses and a smooth rental experience.

Responsibilities

Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands with minimal technical supervision; Perform oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs; Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures; Drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support

Requirements

Valid Driver's License (Class A, B, or C); Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience; At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year; Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel; Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels; Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance; Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry; Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles; Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States; Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance; This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
