Bakery Sales Associate

Responsibilities

Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand; Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about products, and helps resolve customer concerns; Takes customer orders over the phone or in person; Sets up special-order tables, sets bakery cases and builds displays, and may write on cakes; Ensures merchandise is fresh, saleable, properly priced and signed, and handles spoiled or damaged product; May assist with production of breads, pastries and other baked goods following production logs and company recipes; Maintains general sanitation of the department according to cleaning schedules and health and OSHA requirements; May assist with receiving and storing deliveries and baling cardboard (training provided); Assists in minimizing shrink and reports shortages or overages to manager; Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors and continuously improves job performance; Uses all company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE); May assist in other departments

Requirements

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); No prior experience required
