Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests while ensuring excellent service, product quality and a clean and well-organised bar area.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.; Provide friendly and professional service to guests.; Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to hotel standards.; Take beverage orders accurately and attend to guest requests.; Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas.; Ensure sufficient mise en place, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies are available.; Monitor beverage stock and assist with inventory and stock-taking.; Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.; Handle cash and billing transactions accurately when required.; Minimise wastage and breakage and ensure proper portion control.; Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.; Maintain good knowledge of the beverage menu and assist guests with recommendations.; Support the team during events, functions and busy service periods.; Ensure compliance with hotel and Accor standards, policies and procedures.; Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Management.

Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant or bar.; Knowledge of cocktails, beverages and basic bartending techniques.; Good customer service and communication skills.; Positive, friendly and service-oriented attitude.; Able to work in a fast-paced environment.; Good team player with a willingness to learn.; Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.; Open to Malaysian candidates only, preferably local Sarawakian.
