Behavior Technician

Centria is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join its team as Behavior Technicians, making a difference in the lives of children with autism. The role involves working one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA, using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Work one-on-one with children; Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA); Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills; Reduce interfering behaviors

Requirements

Passionate about helping children with autism; Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team; 18+ years of age; High school diploma or GED; Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year); Ability to pass a pre employment background check; Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.); Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Nice to have

Experience working as a Behavioral Technician; Working in some capacity with children with autism or other learning disabilities; Teacher's Aid; Tutor; CNA; Caregiver or Home Health Aide
