Behavioral Health Remote Full-Time NP/PA

Advocate Health Behavioral Health Outpatient Medication Services is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) specializing in Psychiatry to join our outpatient behavioral health team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care for patients through the lifespan within a collaborative multidisciplinary practice environment.

Responsibilities

Perform psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments; Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions; Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications appropriately; Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated; Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, nursing staff, and care teams; Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans; Document patient encounters accurately within the medical record; Participate in departmental meetings and quality initiatives

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice; Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC); Current North Carolina NP/APRN and RN licensure; Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; NCCPA certification; Current North Carolina PA licensure; DEA license and prescriptive authority; BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Nice to have

CAQ certification; One or more years of Psychiatry or Behavioral Health experience; Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team; Prior outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health experience
