Behaviour Mentor – Primary SEMH School. Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Monday to Friday | Term Time Only | Temp to Perm Opportunity | £92.59 per day. We are currently recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEMH primary school in Haywards Heath, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs throughout the school day; Building positive, trusting relationships and acting as a consistent role model; Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation; Encouraging engagement with learning, play, and social development; Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider pastoral team

Requirements

Right to work in the UK; Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks; Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) Update Service, or be willing to obtain one; Must be a driver with access to a vehicle; Calm, resilient, and confident managing behaviours in a positive way; Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their potential; Patient, proactive, and able to build strong relationships

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour
