Biomedical Engineer – Ergonomics & Product Design

RE:LAB is a design and innovation company specialized in shaping the interaction between people and complex technologies. To strengthen our engineering activities, we are looking for a Biomedical Engineer – Ergonomics & Product Design to contribute to the development of components and solutions designed around human interaction. The role focuses on the design and evaluation of physical components used directly by people, considering ergonomics, anthropometric characteristics, usability, comfort, and technical feasibility.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of components and physical interfaces intended for human interaction; Support 3D modeling and CAD design activities; Apply ergonomic and anthropometric principles to product development; Analyze aspects related to comfort, accessibility, usability, and interaction with physical components; Collaborate with engineering and design teams throughout the product development process; Support the evaluation and refinement of design solutions through iterative development activities; Contribute to technical documentation, benchmarking, and project reviews.

Requirements

Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related engineering fields; Strong interest in ergonomics, human factors, and product development; Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling tools, preferably CATIA V5 or similar; Basic understanding of anthropometry, biomechanics, or human-centered design principles; Ability to approach product development from both a technical and human-centered perspective; Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail; Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams; Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

Experience with CATIA V5; Academic or professional experience related to ergonomics, biomechanics, anthropometry, or product design; Experience with components or products involving direct interaction with users; Familiarity with ergonomic simulation or human modeling tools; Interest or previous exposure to automotive and mobility projects; Knowledge of prototyping and product validation methodologies.
