BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN, HOSPITAL ENGINEERING SERVICES

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.; To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment.; To monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule.; To schedule corrective maintenance service for faulty equipment.; To monitor the changing of spare parts.; To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.; To oversee the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices.; To oversee service vendors within the hospital.; To attend internal and external training courses provided.; To develop procedures with regards to communication flow.; To compile monthly reports on maintenance activities.; To process stock requisition.; To update equipment list.; Further instruction by the Top Management of DSH or KPJ as a whole.; Ensure to actively participate in all quality initiatives and activities by the Company.; Ensure all policies and procedures of Integrated Management System (IMS), OHSAS 18001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.; Participate in 5S activities and comply with the specified requirements.; Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP).; Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.; Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008); Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.; To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.

Requirements

Diploma in engineering or equivalent; 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
