Business Developer & Cost Engineer – Aviation & Aerospace (m/f/d)

With our CycloRotors, we develop a new, sustainable, highly maneuverable, and environmentally accepted eVTOL propulsion solution for the 21st century. We are looking for a highly motivated Business Developer / Cost Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our international business development activities in the aviation and aerospace sector.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical understanding with commercial expertise and has a passion for developing new business opportunities, building customer relationships and translating innovative technologies into compelling business cases and measurable customer value.

A key aspect of this position is the ability to quantify the operational and economic benefits of advanced aerospace technologies and convert technical advantages into customer-relevant business metrics, investment cases and value propositions.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the aviation and aerospace industry.; Identify customer needs and translate them into technical and commercial solutions.; Analyze customer operations, workflows and mission profiles to identify economic value drivers and improvement potential.; Develop quantitative customer value models for CycloTech's propulsion technologies and convert technical performance advantages into measurable economic benefits.; Develop customer-specific business cases, ROI models and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments.; Develop cost models, business cases and lifecycle economic assessments for aviation, aerospace and unmanned aircraft applications.; Work closely with Engineering, Project Management and Senior Management.; Represent the company at customer meetings, trade fairs, conferences and industry events.; Monitor market developments, competitors and emerging technologies.; Support the management in strategic business development and growth initiatives.

Requirements

University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar discipline.; Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Cost Engineering, Sales Engineering, Business Development, Project Management or a related field; Experience in developing business cases, economic models, cost-benefit analyses or investment evaluations is highly desirable; Experience in the aviation and/or aerospace industry is highly desirable; Strong technical understanding combined with commercial thinking; Ability to analyze complex operational environments and identify relevant economic value drivers; Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions.; Strong analytical and negotiation skills; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction; Willingness to travel internationally; Fluent English, German is an advantage
