Business Development Manager

Mining Plus is a leading and respected mining technical services provider, comprising professionals specializing in geology, mining engineering (Surface and Underground), geotechnical engineering, mine ventilation, and operational management. We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager based in Perth, servicing the business. This is a highly collaborative role requiring an excellent communicator to liaise both internally and externally to drive client success and our business growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and continually improve the Business Development Strategy by conducting competitive analysis, leveraging client insights, and collaborating with stakeholders; Develop and implement a Client Relationship Management Strategy, establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships and managing client relationships across regions; Qualify and scope opportunities by assessing client needs, project requirements, and organizational fit; Attend industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote Mining Plus's services; Maintain the client and lead database; Provide feedback, development opportunities, and mentoring business development skills to team members and business unit leaders; Develop competitive proposal submissions which conform to the Client’s needs and offer alternatives where appropriate; Work closely with internal teams, including technical experts and project managers, to ensure successful delivery of Client projects and proposals; Manage Client expectations through constructing the proposal and submission; Hand over effectively to the relevant project manager once the proposal has been won; Schedule projects and manage subcontractors required as part of the proposal.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in business development and proposal development with a strong understanding of the mining industry and technical mining services; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with fellow team members and clients; A technical engineering background is essential; Only candidates with unrestricted working rights in Australia will be accepted.
