CAD Designer II

Experienced CAD Designers are responsible for the designs of our slitting systems. This includes complex drawings, design and development, prototyping and simulation while ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Creating Complex Drawings; Design and Development; Review and Modify Designs; Prototyping and Simulation; Material and Process Selection; Project Management Support; Mentor and Training; Travel to customer site for measurements, installations, commissioning, and onsite training

Requirements

2 – 5 yrs related experience and Associate’s degree or Technical Certification in CAD Drafting & Design required; Windows Operating System; Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access; Autodesk Inventor 2020 or newer; Solidworks; ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and documentation, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public; ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations; perform thorough quality checks on drawings; inspect drawings and layouts of Level One Designers; collaboration and communication skills; problem-solving skills; maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes; handle multiple projects simultaneously; regularly required to sit or walk; use hands to handle or feel; occasionally stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch; frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
