Cage Shift Manager

Casino Shift Manager role assisting the Cage/Credit Manager in protecting casino cage assets, implementing accounting and documentation policies, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, laws and regulations at American Place Casino in Waukegan, IL.

Responsibilities

Assist the Cage/Credit Manager in protecting casino cage assets; Implement accounting and documentation policies and procedures; Monitor transactions and ensure compliance with company internal controls, laws and regulations; Deliver excellent internal and external guest service; Maintain physical and custodial control of all casino cage assets during assigned shifts; Supervise, train, evaluate performance, coach team members, and assist with employee scheduling; Review and monitor documents and transactions for gaming regulation compliance; Maintain accurate guest credit records; Report and research cage variances; Audit and verify transactions with the table games department; Approve check cashing and credit issuance per established policies; Resolve guest complaints and disputes professionally; Perform the duties of the Casino Cage/Credit Manager in their absence; Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned

Requirements

High School/GED preferred; Minimum of 2 years' experience working in all facets of cage operations; Ability to operate calculators, computers and money counters for cash and coin; Knowledge of cage computer system; Ability to handle high volume and stress situations; Basic math skills with knowledge of currency; Excellent guest service communication skills; Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend and stoop; Able to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations
