Care Assistant

Location: Flint

Pay: £15.20 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Sunday, Nights (22:00 - 07:00)

Candidates must have a minimum of a level 2 NVQ, and be working towards a level 3 for this position.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care through the night.

Responsibilities

Support with manual handling; Feeds and Medication Administration through Gastrostomy; Monitoring of skin and tissue viability; Respiratory requirements - non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) with full face mask for daytime sleeps and overnight. Monitoring saturations and oxygen requirements; Incontinence care - 4 hourly intermittent catheterisations during day time.

Requirements

For this role, experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting would be preferred, but is not essential. Experience in respiratory management, PEG feeding and catheterisation would be beneficial.; Candidates must have a minimum of a level 2 NVQ, and be working towards a level 3 for this position.
