Responsibilities

Execute procurement activities for assigned categories and suppliers, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery targets; Lead annual price negotiations and keep pricing and item data accurate in ERP systems; Partner with supplier quality, logistics, and other teams to define and implement smart supply strategies; Drive long-term cost reduction initiatives and support CCC sourcing to improve competitiveness; Develop supplier relationships – focusing on delivery reliability, quality, innovation, and lead times – and monitor compliance with internal policies; Support sales and cost estimation by sharing sourcing insights, and oversee inventory levels to protect net working capital

Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of procurement experience, especially about Castings & Forgings; Strong analytical skills and ability to make swift, fact-based decisions; Fluent in English; Solid MS Office skills; Committed, proactive, and able to perform well under pressure with tight deadlines; Strong negotiation and influencing skills; Ability to work independently in a global matrix organization; Ability to guide and influence others within one’s expertise; Curiosity about industry trends and active seeking of new suppliers; Alignment with Valmet’s Leadership Principles (take accountability, lead with courage, build on trust, collaborate for growth); EN profile

Nice to have

Engineering or commercial degree field; Experience with ERP systems (Infor LN preferred); Infor LN experience
