Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

The Psychiatric Center treats both adults and children and provides a wide variety of services including, but not limited to: Addiction/Recovery, Forensics, Senior Programs, Native American Programs and Psychosocial Rehabilitation. Responsibilities

Coordinate and provide services and resources to individuals/families to promote rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency; Identify strengths and barriers that could impede independent functioning; Support individuals and families in crisis situations; Provide personalized interventions to develop informed and independent decisions; Collaborate with medical providers, multidisciplinary team members, and community resource providers; Facilitate development of life skills including daily living, coping, socialization, and community functioning; Assist in development and coordination of individual service plans; Document all client encounters and maintain current client files; Maintain and report statistics regarding programs and client services

Requirements

High School or GED Equivalent; 1 year directly related experience; CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days; Certified Peer Specialist recognized in State of NM; Valid New Mexico Driver's License; UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days
