An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Chef to join the on-train team at Journey Beyond Rail Expeditions. You would be responsible for the high quality preparation and presentation of the Australian dining menu on board our trains.

Responsibilities

High quality preparation and presentation of the Australian dining menu on board the trains; Preparation of a unique menu, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction; Maintaining levels of stock and inventory; Hygiene, cleanliness and general safety of all staff working in food preparation areas; Compliance with HACCP

Requirements

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and minimum 3 years industry experience in fast paced culinary environment; Current Senior First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain); Physically demanding role requiring work on your feet for long periods of time and in confined spaces; Ability to work away from home for up to 7 days at a time, working a one-week on, one-week off roster cycle; Professionalism, immaculate personal presentation in line with company culture; Enjoy engaging with guests; Dynamic and motivated with passion for food and service; Willingness to go above and beyond
