Child & Adolescent Telepsychiatrist

We currently have an opportunity for a board certified/board eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist with an active Missouri license for a 100% telepsychiatry position. This position is 34 hours/week and will allow you to provide services remotely for patients accessing care from a Community Mental Health Clinic. Patient population is ages 5-18. Community Mental Health experience required, including an understanding of this population.

Responsibilities

Provide a full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients, including assessment, evaluation, screening, diagnosis, and treatment; Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose nature and extent of behavioral health disorder; Direct and/or implement psychotherapeutic treatments as well as prescribe medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders; Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress; Examine or order laboratory tests to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorders; Participate in treatment team activities, including the development and periodic review of treatment plans and taking necessary steps when an individual refuses treatment

Requirements

Board certified/board eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist; Active Missouri license; Community Mental Health experience required, including an understanding of the ages 5-18 population; Active state license; 1-3 years of experience since obtaining license; Intermediate to advanced experience with technology; Strong communication skills
