Children's Ambassador/Patient Transport-Casual

Responsibilities

Welcome visitors with warmth and empathy; Badge and screen guests according to visitation guidelines; Help visitors navigate the facility with confidence; Determine destinations and transportation needs; Provide internal patient transport that is secure and engaging; Stock and move wheelchairs, strollers, and carts to ensure accessibility across the facility

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; At least one year of customer service experience, including conflict management; Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups—from neonatal to adult; Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills; Confidence and composure in stressful situations, with the ability to diffuse negativity; Critical thinking skills to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required within 90 days of hire; BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council); On-call shift required approximately once every two weeks; Coverage includes 1st and 2nd shift on Saturday and Sunday; 3rd shift on-call coverage required seven days a week; Weekend availability every other weekend required; Holiday rotation required
