Claims Expert

They are looking for someone with a multi-disciplined skill set which will include being able to oversee high value UK primary insurance losses in the Casualty, Motor and Disease areas, having expertise in all aspects in the management and oversight of TPA's and MGA's

Responsibilities

Oversight of high value UK primary losses in Casualty, Motor and Disease ensuring the highest quality of claims handling from their partners. Being able to assess policy coverage, fact investigation, loss evaluation, ensuring an appropriate claim resolution. Set and maintain appropriate and timely reserves in accordance with their guidelines; Ensuring that their claims handling partners (TPA’s & MGA’s) act within the scope of their contracts; Ensuring that their internal data and records is kept up to date and accurate; Keep Claims Management and other internal stakeholders aware of loss potential and material claim developments

Requirements

Educated to university degree-level or equivalent insurance or legal-based work experience; Professional insurance qualifications, or willingness to work towards achieving this; Solid Claims or Insurance Industry experience; Strong coverage, investigation, loss evaluation and claim valuation skills; Strong understanding of underwriting and other insurance functions and how they interact
