Clinical Laboratory Technologist II - FT - Nights - $15K Sign on Bonus - MRHS

The level II Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follows established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

Performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease; Following established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice; Effectively managing resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment; Performing accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory according to established laboratory protocol and procedures; Assessing competency of team members; Reporting test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols; Serving as Charge Technologist; Serving as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff; Following established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures; May instruct and observe student technologists

Requirements

Generalist; Bachelor's degree (Associate's degree with five or more years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree); Florida Clinical Lab Technologist License (TN License) or Clinical Lab Supervisor License (SU License) in area of responsibility; Minimum of three (3) years' experience as Clinical Laboratory Technologist; Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation; Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems; Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
