Commercial Janitorial Floater

FULL TIME EVENING HOURS. This position covers buildings for employees who are absent or buildings without a regular cleaner. Requires driving a company vehicle - so must have valid drivers license, clean driving record and background plus pass a drug test. Floaters are responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments for our customer’s buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Create cleaner and healthier environments for customer's buildings and grounds; Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures; Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and clean and move furniture and equipment; Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; Use proper PPE where required; Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security system as required; Drive a company vehicle to cover buildings for absent employees or buildings without a regular cleaner

Requirements

Valid driver's license; clean driving record; pass drug test and background check; ability to communicate in English; ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job; contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude; be in uniform, dependable and on time; respect and understanding for co-workers and customers; ability to stand, walk, push, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach overhead and reach forward up to 100% of the time; ability to lift and carry 25 lbs; ability to read cleaning instructions; ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses; strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Nice to have

1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus; Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus
