Complex Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and emotionally resilient individual to join our established team, supporting a vibrant young woman in her thirties who has cerebral palsy and complex clinical needs. This rewarding and varied role involves delivering person-centred care, including personal care, meal preparation, social engagement and emotional support, while working alongside our Nurses to assist with a range of clinical interventions. No two days are the same, and you will play a vital role in promoting independence, wellbeing and quality of life. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference within a supportive and experienced team where flexibility, reliability and consistency are highly valued. As part of her support, you will help her enjoy the activities she loves, including spending time with her pet cat, taking part in arts and crafts, and enjoying regular day trips to local parks and community settings.

Responsibilities

Delivering person-centred care, including personal care, meal preparation, social engagement and emotional support; Working alongside Nurses to assist with a range of clinical interventions; Promoting independence, wellbeing and quality of life; Supporting a young woman with cerebral palsy and complex clinical needs; Helping her enjoy activities she loves, including spending time with pet cat, arts and crafts, and day trips to local parks and community settings

Requirements

Previous care experience; Knowledge of Cerebral Palsy; Moving & Handling Equipment; Access to a vehicle; Compassionate, reliable and emotionally resilient

Nice to have

Experience in complex care with tracheostomies; PEG feeding; catheter care
