Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist - FT - Days - $20K Sign on Bonus - MHM

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization; Reviews patient history and physician's orders; Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam; Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered; Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status; Charges appropriately for supplies and utilizes exam codes; Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; Analyzes images and resolves image quality issues; Prepares equipment and supplies; Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures; Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions; Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by department

Requirements

Accredited Program: Radiology (Required); ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association; Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida; Registered as a Technologist (RT) by ARRT as required by state law; Registered in computed tomography (CT) by ARRT within 1 year of hire date; Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Nice to have

One year of radiology technologist experience is preferred
