Configuration Analyst

The Configuration Analyst plays a central role in transforming raw product data into configurator-ready formats. This position ensures the accurate representation of vehicle specifications and market-specific content, from initial data ingestion and master build creation through to market localisation, rigorous quality assurance, and seamless handover to other parties. The Config Analyst manages complex datasets, applies intricate business rules, and collaborates across various internal and external stakeholders to deliver a flawless configurator experience.

Responsibilities

Collect and process diverse data files from various client stakeholders/product teams; Supplement and manipulate raw input data to optimize for the front-end application; Create and maintain a master International build using a proprietary configuration tool, capturing the full superset (150%) specification across all possible variants, features, and options for all markets; Perform quality assurance testing of the master build in the configurator UI; Tailor the master build for individual markets by applying market-specific applicability rules; Integrate market-specific pricing by loading pricing files to apply local currency and prices; Implement localised technical data and copy, including footer caveats and translations; Apply unique local business rules specific to a market; Perform comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) using the automated QA tool and manual checks; Facilitate market-specific configurator reviews with relevant client regional teams/market stakeholders; Manage continuous collaboration and data handover to the technical partner using a JIRA ticketing system; Provide structured data files to the technical partner, including core Excel workbooks, common files, pricing files, and detailed amended templates

Requirements

Exceptional attention to detail, meticulous and precise in handling complex data to ensure absolute accuracy in the final product; Strong data management skills, with proven ability to work with large, multi-tab spreadsheets and complex datasets; Analytical and problem-solving mindset, able to understand, interpret, and model complex business rules and data relationships; Capable of managing QA cycles, tracking feedback, and ensuring all validation steps are completed efficiently; Highly organised and capable of managing tasks with a structured project life cycle; Comfortable learning and using various software and platforms, including JIRA and proprietary data management tools; Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, technical partners, and client stakeholders; Experience in the automotive industry; Familiarity with product configurators; Previous experience using JIRA in a project management or operational capability
