Corporate Communications Manager

Zillow is hiring a Manager of Corporate Communications to own a critical and specialized function within the Communications team: developing and executing communications strategy across litigation and regulatory matters. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role. The role involves working directly with Legal, Executive Leadership and senior Comms partners to shape how Zillow responds to media narratives from legal proceedings. This role has been categorized as a Remote position.

Responsibilities

Own the litigation communications function end-to-end; Serve as a trusted strategic partner to Legal and the C-suite; Drive cross-functional projects with rigor and clarity; Manage media relationships in a specialized, high-stakes context; Monitor, adapt, and apply; Represent Comms in cross-functional forums

Requirements

Deep experience in media relations and meaningful time managing sensitive, high-stakes communications in litigation, crisis, financial, or regulatory contexts; Exceptional writer and verbal communicator; Confident and credible presence in rooms with senior leadership; Operates well with ambiguity and competing priorities; Understands how legal and communications strategy intersect and can navigate tension thoughtfully; Brings a 'no job is too small' attitude; Shares feedback generously upward, laterally, and to junior colleagues; Thinks in systems and connects work to team, company, and business outcomes; 6–9 years of communications experience with significant focus on media relations; Demonstrated experience managing sensitive, high-stakes communications in a legal, litigation, regulatory, or crisis context (in-house, agency, or law firm communications); Proven ability to work directly with and influence senior leadership and legal counsel; Track record of owning complex cross-functional projects with minimal oversight; Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

In-house experience at a publicly traded company; Familiarity with securities litigation, class action, or regulatory enforcement communications; Experience working alongside outside counsel and understanding the communications boundaries litigation counsel establishes
