Count Team

Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado sits 45-minutes west of downtown Denver. Count Team is responsible for collecting, sorting, and counting large sums of cash accurately and safely in open and closed environments.

Responsibilities

Collecting, sorting, and counting large sums of cash accurately and safely in open and closed environments; Transferring money from the gaming floor to the count room; Operating and maintaining cash counting machines as directed; Preparing the casino for drop by placing empty BV cans at each machine and opening all Belly glass doors; Performing BV drop by removing BV from all machines, replacing with empty BV cans, and transporting funds and tickets to the count room; Performing table games count by opening each table game drop box, counting all monies, preparing the master games sheet, and verifying funds balance; Performing BV count by opening each BV, counting and strapping currency and tickets, preparing paperwork, verifying totals, and turning funds over to cashier; Performing kiosk drop and kiosk count; Checking out keys from the key watcher for each drop and count; Complying with Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures, Colorado Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal AML requirements, Company Policies, and IRS reporting; Maintaining a clean and safe work environment; Wearing and maintaining regulation uniforms properly; Performing other job-related duties as directed

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Must be able to obtain a Colorado State Gaming license; Must have strong mathematical and 10-Key skills; Must have EXCEL spreadsheet and data entry knowledge; Must have basic computer skills, including good Outlook and Excel skills; Ability to interface effectively with co-workers in a small space at times; Accuracy and attention to detail are necessary for the completion of regulatory forms; Ability to follow written and oral instructions; Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task; Ability to function as part of a team and remain calm and professional when under pressure or high stress situations; Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time; Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest height, on a frequent basis; Being able to occasionally push or pull, with mandatory assistance, a cart weighing over 400 lbs.

Nice to have

Previous experience with heavy cash handling preferred; Familiarity with Cummings machines a plus
