Courier (Tues-Sat 4:00pm - 12:30am) - Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast - Buffalo, NY

The Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of water, soil and air samples to and from the laboratory. Daily route will usually be from Buffalo, NY to Williamsport, PA and back. Most of the work day will be driving, approximately 7 hours/day, using a company vehicle. Position is full-time Tuesday - Saturday, 4pm - 12:30am.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver water, soil and air samples to and from the laboratory; Maintain the quality, hold time, and turnaround time objectives of the lab; Prepare and deliver bottle orders to clients following the standard operating procedures of the lab; Receive and stock all sample control supplies; Prepare and ship sample kits; Perform sampling events as needed; Dispose of samples and hazardous waste according to guidelines; Count samples on receipt and verify Chain of Custody matches; Receive and sign the Chain of Custody; Transport samples on ice from client site to the lab or to a sub-contracted laboratory; Unload samples and inspect for damage or violated hold times; Interact with Project Managers and clients appropriately and professionally; Record courier arrival and departure times in the courier log book; Maintain vehicle maintenance and driving mileage records; Restock supplies when received; Verify the validity and completeness of bottle orders before delivery; Maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure a safe work environment; Prepare outgoing shipments of bottle kits and coolers; Maintain delivery truck in proper working order; Label samples after log in as needed; Carry out other sample control duties and tasks assigned by laboratory management

Requirements

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship; Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write and speak in English; High school diploma or equivalent; Valid driver's license; Reading maps and following directions; Operating a motor vehicle; Ability to prioritize
