CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols; Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image (CAT Scan); Perform routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within established benchmarks; Complete all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow; Educate and prepare patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation and promote a positive patient experience; Demonstrate commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program; Licensure/Certification: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT), NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT), combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT), combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT); BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
