CT Technologist training program (must be a Certified Radiology Tech)

South Shore Hospital is seeking a motivated, ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team and take the next step in your professional growth. We offer a fully paid, comprehensive on the job CT cross training program designed to build your skills and confidence as you transition into an independent CT Technologist role. You’ll earn a competitive Radiology Technologist wage from day one while developing the expertise needed for CT practice. This role is structured as a pathway to a full-time CT Technologist position at South Shore Hospital. Upon completion of the training program, candidates are expected to obtain their Massachusetts CT License within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Confirm patient's identity and evaluate ability to understand examination requirements; Explain and confirm patient preparation and procedure instructions; Examine radiographic requisition for accuracy and completeness; Provide patient safety, comfort, and modesty; Administer contrast media and observe for adverse reactions; Maintain confidentiality of patient information; Practice radiation protection and minimize radiation exposure; Operate radiographic and fluoroscopy units and digital imaging devices; Produce and evaluate diagnostic quality images; Perform equipment maintenance and report malfunctions; Foster a Culture of Safety through personal ownership and commitment to a safe environment

Requirements

ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist; RT - Radiography Technology (MA state license) or RT Temp - Radiography Technology Temporary (MA state license); Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Six (6) months to be fully proficient; Produce CEU records to manager prior to start date; Maintain CEU activity on-site for a period of two years longer than last licensure renewal date; Expected to obtain Massachusetts CT License within 90 days after training; Per diem training commitment includes 2 days a week and one weekend day
