Data Analyst II

We have a 6 month contract to hire for someone with 2+ years of relevant experience with strong, hands on Power BI development skills, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard design, and performance optimization. They should have solid SQL and Snowflake experience for querying, validating, and troubleshooting enterprise data. Equally important is the ability to translate business requirements into clear, executive ready reporting. This person should be comfortable partnering directly with stakeholders to define KPIs, drive standardized reporting practices, and communicate data driven insights to non technical audiences, all while working independently in a fast paced, cross functional environment. Healthcare industry experience is a plus. 100% Remote.

Responsibilities

Deliver enterprise reporting and analytics solutions; Develop Power BI dashboards that provide leadership with trusted, actionable insights; Support Snowflake migration, reporting modernization, certified dataset development, Power BI enhancements, reporting governance, and AI-enabled automation; Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources including claims, provider, member, and encounters data; Develop, execute, maintain, and troubleshoot moderately complex scripts and reports using SQL, Microsoft Excel, or other analytics tools; Identify and perform root-cause analysis of data irregularities and present findings and proposed solutions to leadership and/or customers; Engage in data profiling and source to target mapping; Work on moderately complex data integration from disparate sources; Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and presentation of data; Communicate findings and insights to non-technical business partners; Engage with customers and business partners to gather requirements and validate results; Present data-driven insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 2+ years experience; Power BI development and data visualization; Advanced Power BI development including data modeling, DAX, report design, dashboard development, and performance optimization; Ability to translate business requirements into meaningful, executive-ready reporting solutions; Strong experience querying and analyzing data using SQL and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake; Ability to perform data validation, troubleshoot issues, understand data relationships, and translate complex data into meaningful business insights; Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, views, business rules, and reporting datasets; Experience partnering with business stakeholders to define requirements, establish KPIs, and develop reporting solutions; Ability to understand business processes, identify reporting opportunities, and drive adoption of standardized metrics and governance practices; Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field and 2-4 years of related experience or equivalent; Intermediate ability to seek knowledge in area of specialty; Intermediate ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to work independently
