Dental Assistant - 1300SMILES Gladstone

1300SMILES Gladstone is looking for a Casual Dental Assistant who's keen to learn chairside, support our clinicians and become part of a friendly and experienced team. Whether you're newly qualified or completely new to dental, we're happy to train the right person.

This casual role works across our Monday to Saturday roster , with shifts typically falling between 7:45am and 5:15pm . It's a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible work while building valuable experience in the dental industry.

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

Assisting dentists and clinicians during procedures and with patient care; Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and equipment; Sterilising instruments and following infection control procedures; Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for; Keeping the clinical environment clean, organised and ready for patients; Supporting the wider practice team with administrative tasks when required

Requirements

A warm, approachable manner and a natural ability to put patients at ease; A willingness to learn and take on new challenges; Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach; Good organisation and attention to detail; Availability to work across the Monday to Saturday roster; Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or previous dental experience, is highly regarded but not essential.
