This is a part-time role of approximately 38 to 40 hours per fortnight, with potential for additional hours as the practice grows.

Responsibilities

Providing chairside assistance during dental procedures; Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring instruments and equipment are ready; Completing sterilisation and infection control procedures; Maintaining equipment and keeping clinical areas clean and organised; Supporting clinicians to keep appointments running smoothly; Helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit; Providing post-treatment care instructions when required; Assisting with general practice and administrative tasks

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Certificate III in Dental Assisting or above is desirable; Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and infection control; Experience using dental software and Microsoft Office; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Good attention to detail and organisational skills; The ability to work effectively in a busy team environment; A genuine patient-focused approach
