Design Director

Nen Creative partners with tech startups to launch bold ideas into the world, creating the brands and stories that fuel their growth. The Design Director will lead the brand and design practice as a senior, hands-on leadership role, setting a high creative bar, leading and developing a multidisciplinary design team, building client relationships, and contributing to new business.

Responsibilities

Own the creative quality of brand and design work across identity, web, and launch projects; Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team; Serve as the senior creative partner on key client engagements; Participate in new business, shaping creative approaches and leading or supporting pitches; Improve critiques, QA, creative workflows, case studies, and how the brand practice operates

Requirements

5–8 years of experience in brand, design, or creative roles, ideally within a strong branding or creative agency environment; Exceptional design judgment and craft; Extremely strong with clients, confident presenting to founders and senior stakeholders; High ownership and reliability, staying calm under pressure; Able to move fluidly between direction and execution; Driven to raise the bar on work, processes, and team
