Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres)

You will join one of the world's leading data centre design and engineering teams as a project manager. You will work on complex, mission-critical projects in Nijmegen and across the wider EMEA region. This role brings together senior project leadership and real commercial influence. You handle client relationships, proposals, contract negotiations, and delivery. You will become part of the Global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team, which provides multidisciplinary consultancy services to data centre clients. You will use 3D design tools to deliver detailed and high-quality solutions for MCF projects.

Responsibilities

Manage scope-of-work, design budget and contract documents for each project; Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within team; Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary team and external parties; Lead and challenge design solutions and changes; Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to client and team; Contribute to optimization of internal business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge within the field

Requirements

Holds a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres and/or other relevant sectors; Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE); Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients; Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English; Entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive, with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude; Flexibility towards traveling
