Diabetic Eye Screener

An opportunity has arisen to join the Central Mersey diabetic eye screening programme. We are looking for someone to join the screening team covering clinics throughout Warrington, St Helens, Halton & Knowsley. This role is for a 12 month fixed-term contract. Our screeners are the heart of NEC Care spending time on the ground, helping our patients. As a screener, you'll run local clinics for our patients and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy. We'll need you to be empathetic and able to talk to patients daily. You'll be supported undertaking your training, but once completed will be working largely unsupervised in a pressured environment, so a cool head is essential.

Requirements

Customer focused with brilliant interpersonal skills; Willingness to learn; Organised and able to prioritise tasks; Good problem-solving skills; Able to work under pressure; Empathetic and able to talk to patients daily; A full driving licence and own transport; Right to work and travel within the UK
