Director Global Operations

Our client is a global leader within the fragrance industry with a truly global presence and manufacturing facilities all over the world. This role can be based in Spain, UK or Dubai. Travel time is 30-40%. Reporting directly into top level of the organisation this position will have responsibility for developing and implementing global operations strategy. This role will manage and guide local Operations Managers to implement operational strategic initiatives and projects, process and efficiency improvements, and to ensure all sites meet global manufacturing standards and operate in a safe environment. Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for strategic initiatives. Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. Devise strategies to ensure growth of process automation across divisions by identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement global operations strategy; Drive standardisation and optimisation across all sites; Explore and prepare Industry 4.0 strategies with a focus on digitization and customer connectivity; Develop and deploy manufacturing standards; Drive rapid and consistent production process improvements; Implement manufacturing best practice; Create a motivating factory environment; Initiate and manage global production projects; Monitor and optimise productivity; Oversee global manufacturing site selection and evaluation; Oversee day-to-day operations across all Manufacturing Divisions; Build Logistics function capability strategically across the globe; Drive efficiency and productivity; Design and implement supply chain metrics and dashboard; Ensure all sites are trained and compliant with HSQE requirements; Monitor incidents and implement corrective actions; Oversee Quality Assurance, Environmental and Safety management systems; Provide guidance to local GMs; Develop Supply Chain people capabilities

Requirements

10+ years of experience managing in a fast paced manufacturing environment; Global experience; Multi-site background; Strong leadership; Ability to work strategically as well as hands on at the production sites; Experience with modern ERP, digitalisation and driving continuous improvement within global manufacturing
