Director of Sales & Marketing

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for managing distribution channels, and deployment of sales for Fleetline, Hogebuilt and Nu-line. They are responsible for developing the strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. Specific responsibilities include business and market development, customer management, management of market research, strategic direction for promotion and advertising, sales growth and customer satisfaction. The Director will also oversee the sales and marketing team members’ daily activity and development.

Responsibilities

Managing distribution channels and deployment of sales for Fleetline, Hogebuilt and Nu-line; Developing strategic sales plans based on company goals to promote sales growth and customer satisfaction; Overseeing sales and marketing team members’ daily activity and development; Executing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals; Advising dealers, customers, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques; Analyzing sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales; Meeting with key clients in person alongside sales representatives to support relationship management, negotiations, and deal closures; Working to increase market share; Working with dealers to improve familiarity with products; Analyzing ways to obtain new customers through inside and outside leads; Working with internal employees on collection of past due accounts; Focusing on new product promotions; Attending trade shows to increase customer base and market share; Following up on calls and dealer visits; Compiling lists of prospective customers for sales leads; Making outbound lead follow-up calls; Overcoming technical and business objections; Estimating delivery dates; Building and maintaining customer relationships; Preparing reports of business transactions; Entering customer and sales data into computer database; Investigating and resolving customer problems with deliveries; Mailing correspondence and promotions; Following all safety standards; Working with marketing firm to create collateral; Managing prospect database; Using basic layout design software for minor marketing pieces; Supervising Sales and Marketing team in US and Canada

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Proven leader with in-depth industry experience; Exceptional project management skills; Record of building high performance teams; Outstanding relationships with internal and external customers; Strong work ethic with proactive communication skills; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry; Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; Knowledge of accounting software, contact management systems, database software, design software, development software, internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, order processing systems, project management software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software; Ability to deal effectively with disgruntled customers concerning account issues; Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; Ability to drive safely and maintain all legal driving requirements
