Distribution Order Picker

The Order Selector/Picker is responsible for picking, stacking, labeling and distributing products within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Picking, stacking, labeling and distributing products within the warehouse; Transporting materials and items from picking area to other designated areas; Sorting and placing materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code; Marking/labeling materials with identifying information; Utilizing technology (RF scanning and voice picking equipment) for directed order picking, if applicable; Practicing and adhering to appropriate safety, food safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures; Keeping work area clean and removing trash from work area floor; Storing supplies in designated areas; Keeping work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions; Following instructions for safe lifting/carrying of various sizes, shapes, and weights; Reporting all job-related injuries/property damage to supervision; Supporting and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent; equivalent combination of education and experience; must be able to follow standard operating procedures and meet productivity goals; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
