Emerson 4 - Registered Nurse (36 hours/week, 7am-7:30pm)

Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process. Provides care, treatment and services through the successful coordination and completion of a series of processes that include assessment, planning care, providing care, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Medication administration in accordance with SSH policies; Medication reconciliation; Narcotic documentation, administration, count, waste and discrepancy resolution; Individualized plan of care development, evaluation and documentation; Admission assessment within 8 hours of admission; Patient and family teaching; Pain assessment and documentation; Discharge/transfer facilitation by 12:00pm; Patient identification verification and safety protocols; Infection control and hand hygiene compliance; Participation in hospital code and emergency preparedness; Obtaining at least 5 contact hours of professional development per year; Compliance with MA Nurse Practice Act, privacy and security policies; Patient and family centered care

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; RN - Registered Nurse license; Depending on department: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
